21 Day Fix
Yesterday, I started Beach Body's 21 Day Fix program. I'm pretty excited about it, albeit a little nervous, because I've never tried such a regimented program before. But I figure I can do anything for 21 days, right?
The 21 Day Fix is based on a pretty easy to follow plan based on a) nutrition and b) fitness.
For starters, the nutrition program is what drew me to the 21 Day Fix in the first place. There's no calorie counting, no carb deprivation - it's based on eating clean, whole foods every day based on the appropriate portion sizes. Different foods go in color-coded containers, and the amount you eat is basically just whatever can fit inside the containers.

Then, there's an exercise regimen of 30 minutes per day doing a variety of different fitness DVDs. Day 1 yesterday was Total Body Cardio and it kicked my butt. I'm excited to try day 2 and see how that treats me.
It's going to be difficult giving up beer and sugar for the next three weeks. But I'm determined to see if this will work, and I really want to give it a chance. I'll keep you updated once I reach the end!
This is super intriguing!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to write an update post today as I'm more than halfway through on day12. If you have any questions, though, let me know! I'm not 100% a believer yet, but I feel really good about this so far.
